Many are left wondering when will the COVID-19 be over as, with everyone, it can be greatly difficult to cope through the many months of quarantine. Thousands to millions have filed for unemployment and the consequences of the pandemic have strained households. On top of that, inside their homes and apart from other people, everyone is isolated, contributing to the tension. These variables are the right formula for any significant negative effects on mental health. There are many ways to combat these effects, however, including incorporating routine as at these difficult times, routine is the secret to remaining mentally healthy. In this self-quarantine, I'm going to tell you some ways to boost your overall mental health.

  1. Taking Care Of Your Body

Sometimes the most simple way of overcoming the troubles of mental isolation is taking care of your body. It will do wonders for your mental health by actually eating a much better diet without the sodas and eliminating unhealthy carbohydrates. Now is the time to workout to relieve all the anxiety if your body is incredibly stressed out. Also, the mental health advantages of exercise are very real and can make an absolute difference in how you feel through this difficult phase. Exercising through walking or yoga can prove to be an amazing way to uplift your spirits.

  1. Do Something New

Changing routines and starting something new can be an amazing way of avoiding constant boredom during quarantine. You may be growing bored with your new environment by spending too much extra time in your house. It could be starting a new hobby, to redecorate or revitalize your room to make it feel more inviting or enjoyable. Even if it only means buying a few pieces of wall art, some new houseplants, or repairing a certain room, it can have a huge effect on your mental health and boost your mood to redo little things in your space.

  1. Reach out for Support

Everyone needs a helping hand once in a while and with this pandemic running rampant, many people are in need of a shoulder to lean on. Don't hesitate to reach out to ask for assistance if you are having a rough time dealing and need extra support. Online or over the internet, there are numerous services and clinicians available and you don't have to worry alone. It can be tricky to take control of your mental wellbeing with coronavirus, so you don't have to handle these moments alone. Simply talking with friends or spending time with your loved ones can help handle the isolation of quarantine.
